Not for emergencies

If you have severe symptoms, chest pain, breathlessness at rest, or you believe you have a medical emergency, contact 999 or your local emergency services immediately. Do not wait for a response from this site.

Certificates depend on clinical assessment

A certificate is issued only where a GMC-registered doctor considers it clinically appropriate after reviewing the information you provide. Submitting a request and paying a fee does not entitle you to a certificate. Where a certificate cannot be issued on clinical grounds, our refund position is set out in our terms of use.

Acceptance by organisers is not guaranteed

Requirements for certificate wording, format and supporting tests vary between events, clubs, insurers and countries, and they change between editions of the same event. We cannot guarantee that any certificate will be accepted. Always check the requirements published by your own event organiser before applying.

Regulatory information may change

Guidance on this site about national rules, including those of the Fédération Française d'Athlétisme, the Federazione Italiana Triathlon, CONI and Italian Ministerial Decree 18/02/1982, is provided in good faith and was accurate when reviewed. Rules change. Confirm the current position with the relevant federation or your event organiser.
